Parents are part of our education team.

Parent and Child

We encourage a thriving, ongoing partnership between parents and teachers at every grade level. As a parent, you will have many opportunities to be a part of your child's learning experiences, and stay informed about his or her progress.

The partnership begins during the admissions process, in which parent interviews are critical in determining the student's needs and how Paladin Academy can best meet them.  After acceptance and admission, parents participate in developing their child's Individual Program Plan (IPP). Parents have the opportunity to attend meetings and workshops familiarizing them with Paladin learning techniques, methods and philosophy. Teachers meet with parents to discuss how learning activities and techniques used at home will complement the process going on during the school day. Parents receive formal written and verbal assessments of their child's progress twice a year, but we also encourage frequent informal communications in person and via e-mail. Each classroom has its own page within the school website, making it easy to keep up with the news remotely.

At Paladin Academy you will find a warm, caring community of teachers, parents, students and staff who form a support network for each other, and build the sense of confidence that is so important for the growth of students with learning differences.
