Paladin program offerings

Elementary Students

Paladin Academy is designed for individuals with average- to above- average intelligence who are struggling academically, and/or who need an alternative environment to learn and succeed. The Paladin program takes different forms depending on the specific location. See the locations page to see the programs available at each school.

Clinics

Clinics are one-on-one instructional sessions that utilize multi-sensory strategies to remediate students' abilities to process, read, write, perform math exercises fluently and improve study skills. These clinics serve children in need of additional help, but who do not necessarily require a full day intervention program. The nature and number of the sessions is guided by assessment results, as well as by parent and teacher communication. Clinics may be available after school for students requiring additional academic support.

Full-Day Paladin Programs

Three of our Chesterbrook Academy elementary schools offer the opportunity to enroll in full-day Paladin programs, with the opportunity to mainstream and eventually transition to the regular private school program. The full day program allows students to take full advantage of the multi-sensory strategies that help children with learning challenges "learn how to learn." Included in these strategies are resources and techniques for improving the processing, reading, spelling, math, and language abilities of the students. In addition, we also help students add study skills and organizational techniques to their arsenal of learning strategies.

Day School

The full-day Paladin Academy K-12 school in Weston, FL provides a highly structured environment, with low student-teacher ratios, multi-sensory learning strategies, and social and study skill support throughout each day. The day school serves students in kindergarten through 12th grade who require smaller class sizes, and, if needed, a slower academic pace. All faculty members are required to go through specific training programs, enabling them to help their students build upon classroom successes, encourage them to take on academic risks and develop a positive cycle of learning.

Paladin Academy's High School program is fully accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS), and is a participating school in the state of Florida's John M. McKay Scholarship for students with learning challenges.

Summer School

The Paladin Academy summer program is a morning academic program, with an optional afternoon camp experience. Broken up into four 45-minute sessions, the morning program offers a multi-sensory, structured learning environment which focuses on four main content areas; reading, spelling, writing and math. The objectives of this four- to eight-week program are to further remediate students who may have struggled throughout the school year or are looking to move ahead in particular academic areas. Providing each child with an individualized program plan, the curriculum includes social and study skills training.
