Paladin Academy is a private, non-sectarian and co-educational, college-preparatory learning environment for talented students with mild learning challenges. Designed for children who hold an average to above average intelligence, the program seeks to provide a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum for those requiring more individualized instruction. Course standards routinely exceed those of the State of Florida and Common Core State Standards when preparing a child for college and the future. Serving Kindergarten through Grade 12, many of our students have been diagnosed with attention deficits, dyslexia or simply require a smaller classroom environment to be successful.
With an initial focus on individualized clinical support for children, the program was founded by Dr. Deborah Levy in 1978 and was originally known as the Developmental Resource Center (DRC). The school was acquired by Nobel Learning Communities, Inc. during the 1997-1998 academic year and adopted the present name in late 1998. Since inception, Paladin Academy has utilized a multi-sensory instructional approach designed to help students grow and learn at all academic levels.
Located in the City of Hollywood for nearly 25 years, Paladin Academy relocated to western Broward County in 2008. During the 2011-2012 academic year, our school community moved once again to our current 4 ½ acre campus in the City of Pembroke Pines. Notable features of the new facility include a regulation soccer sports field, heated swimming pool, library, indoor multi-purpose room, two dedicated computer labs, a science lab, age appropriate outdoor playground equipment, improved technology infrastructure and expanded instructional space for the use of our students.
Paladin Academy is an accredited institution who was originally certified under the Commission on International Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA SACS). The school is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS CASI), a division of AdvancED.
