Florida Virtual School Information

In today’s society, students attending school must have a solid understanding of electronic learning. Individuals must become familiar with and be able to take class content digitally, the primary reason for ongoing integration of such technologies within the classroom at Paladin Academy. To this end, we maintain an agreement with the State of Florida Virtual High School Program (FLVS) to allow students to take courses through a distance learning platform. This system is ideal for self motivated individuals looking to complete courses not typically available at our school or location. These courses require administrator approval and are available during the day or as an additional class. Students are strongly encouraged to only take FLVS courses Paladin Academy does not offer.

Because these courses are time intensive enrollment in them is limited. Students must indicate their desire to enroll in an online course within the first two weeks of a semester. Students utilizing the McKay Scholarship may complete one credit on FLVS without an impact to funding provided by the State of Florida. For more information visit Florida Virtual School online.

The Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) is comprised of families, students, teachers and administrators. Our mission is to enrich the student experience, cultivate a close relationship between home and school, and promote a strong school community by hosting events and activities. Meetings are held each month and feature open dialogue between parents, students, teachers and administrators to improve our school. Everyone in the Paladin community is welcome to participate. Please join us!

PTSO typically meets on the second Monday of every month during the school year.
